The Pegboard revisited by Maison France 5 and architect Gaëlle Cuisy

Le Pegboard revisité par Maison France 5 et l’architecte Gaëlle Cuisy - Quark

If you've been following the Aire adventure for a while, you know we're real Pegboard enthusiasts ! Recently, a customer shared a great episode of the home decor show: Maison France 5. In this article, we're sharing the creation of Gaëlle Cuisy, the show's architect . Gaëlle revisits the Pegboard , much to our delight !

LMF5 - Pegboard Children's Bedroom

A child's room

In this episode of La Maison France 5, Gaëlle Cuisy is tasked with designing a child's bedroom. The theme is a 10-year-old girl who is a budding DIY enthusiast. Gaëlle Cuisy goes to great lengths to design the room. The space is structured around a built-in desk, in which the Pegboard will find pride of place. Here are some images from the France 5 program. I apologize for the quality of these screenshots.

LMF5 - Pegboard Integration

A pegboard desk

Gaëlle Cuisy 's idea was to integrate the Pegboard directly into this young woman's desk . The construction is structured with Pegboards along the entire work surface. Storage spaces will then adorn the upper part of the desk. These storage spaces will accommodate boxes or important objects.

I think the result is magnificent and I would love to have a desk in the same style in our next workshop!

The choice of Birch Plywood

If you're familiar with Aire's Pegboard range , you'll have noticed that Birch Plywood is definitely one of our favorites! Gaëlle Cuisy chose birch plywood for this children's bedroom installation based on several criteria that we completely agree with!

The advantages of Birch Plywood are:

  • in its resistance
  • its stability over time
  • its smooth surface
  • its sweetness
  • its homogeneity

A pegboard closet door

The last point I want to share is a beautiful bold move by Gaëlle Cuisy. This child's bedroom is already a stimulating creative space. But Gaëlle goes further and discreetly integrates a pegboard into the closet door. It's truly my favorite.

! The idea is simple and practical. It will be an opportunity for the new owner of this room to display her future creations, to hang jewelry, the outfit of the day, or to integrate a solution for notes and memos. La Maison France 5 passes very briefly over this detail. Yet it is a way to make an anthology Ikea Hack! I hope that other people will seize the idea. Thank you Gaëlle Cuisy :)
