Today I'm telling you about a new challenge that Aire has set for himself, and it's this week's Pegboards.

A new concept introduced because we want to constantly stimulate our creativity. The goal is to produce a special Pegboard per week with a specific theme and something different from what we usually offer.

In 2023, we will continue to explore new, atypical, interesting, and inspiring forms. The goal: to keep the spark of the beginnings alive throughout the entire Aire team. In short, to stay alive! At Aire, we love challenges, and we especially love setting up projects and challenges as a team. And this was a great opportunity!

So what is a Pegboard?

Let's start at the beginning: what is a pegboard? Here's our answer to that question: a pegboard is a perforated hardboard. There you go, you're not very advanced 😄

The Pegboard is a modular storage solution . The system involves drilling a board with regularly spaced holes.

The holes are designed to accommodate pegs, hooks, wooden dowels or even shelves, allowing you to store various items according to your needs . Whether you want to create storage space for your teas or your jewelry, the Pegboard offers great flexibility . This system was first used in 1962 and is commonly used in retail to hold products to be hung using steel rods protruding from the board.

A true passion

With Aire , we find the Pegboard to be an extraordinary object. Yes, quite simply. And now we want to share all the possibilities of the Pegboard with you. When you look at a board with holes, you quickly realize that you can find an infinite number of combinations!

Whether it's for decorating or storing all your everyday items, the Pegboard is perfectly suited to all uses.

We're working on new uses for this object. They're simply endless. So we have a little time ahead of us. But the most important thing for us is to be able to share the Pegboard and create the Aire System together ! Yes, there's ambition here.

A new challenge

Since we're passionate about pegboards and love challenges, we want to push our limits. During a team meeting, we came up with the idea of ​​exploring shapes, materials, and textures for our pegboards. The concept of Pegboards of the Week was born. We produce one pegboard per week. These pegboards are out of the ordinary and open up new perspectives. So why take on such a challenge as a team?

It's important for the entire Aire team to always innovate and try new things. This develops creativity and team spirit. It also helps us never fall asleep and always come up with new concepts. In addition, this challenge creates bonds within the team. It's a time for the whole team to get together and give their opinion. We also listen to our community. We obviously solicit your feedback through our social networks. We love talking to you. We want to understand your expectations and discover the products of tomorrow with you. This is very important to us, and it's how Aire grows.

Pegboards

Here are the Pegboards we have produced since we launched the challenge:

Pegboard of the Week #1

The goal was to change the matrix of our Pegboard. We usually use a 3 cm matrix. This week, we are offering a grid with a 6 cm pitch. We produced a series in December at the request of customers.

The idea is excellent. It's a small step aside. But we realize that this transformation distances the Pegboard from its industrial look. And this gives it a whole new look. The mesh of points disappears in favor of the raw material: wood. This gives it a more minimalist and therefore more refined look that could greatly appeal to some.

In short, a first Pegboard of the week that goes off the beaten track while remaining simple and stylish.

Not all accessories are compatible due to a more spaced grid, however if you select them well you can still find what you are looking for :)

Pegboard of the Week #2

The goal is to create an original Pegboard that is different from what we usually offer but while keeping the minimalist side of our Pegboards! With its rounded, almost molecular shape and its refined design, it is perfectly in tune with the times and allows you to give a touch of originality and novelty to your interior.

For this second Pegboard of the week, we wanted to create a unique and stylish product. The challenge was to create a new shape while maintaining the minimalism of the Pegboard. So that customers could use it with ease and be able to place all the accessories of their choice on it. In short: create a simple, stylish and practical Pegboard. Mission accomplished ✅

On this model the grid is a classic grid, (with a pitch of 3cm), all accessories are compatible.

Shell #3

For this Pegboard, the inspiration is simple. We're missing summer, so to pass the time, we created a Pegboard of the Week in the shape of a shell to remind us of the sea. For this one, we decided to represent a particular shape and have a little fun!

With its scallop shape and green color, this gives us a Pegboard that combines the two elements: water and earth. This is a first for Aire to create such a special and unique Pegboard. And it took us several tests in the workshop before arriving at a satisfactory result!

In short, a brand new perforated panel inspired by the elements, with a clean and very worked design to give it its shell appearance. On this model the grid is a classic grid, (With a pitch of 3cm), all accessories are compatible.

Puzzle #4

Inspired by the puzzle, we've gone even further! We've created the first Pegboard that can be assembled and disassembled. This week's Pegboard is just like the puzzle. Once again, the possibilities are endless. We want to innovate even more, and this week we're offering you an even more modular pegboard. Its fun, colorful design will make it the perfect companion for your future laboratory!

This unique pegboard lets you combine a fun, colorful decor and storage system while maintaining a minimalist feel. With its four colors, it adds a touch of cheerfulness to your home.

As with all our other Pegboards, you can add accessories to store and decorate as you wish. Because on this model the grid is a classic grid (with a 3cm pitch), all accessories are compatible.

In short, a new Pegboard of the week that is innovative, creative with a Montessori game side that you might like!

Yin-Yang #5

Discover our new Pegboard of the week: the Yin-Yang Pegboard. Inspired by a Zen atmosphere, we chose to create it to bring a touch of softness to our catalog. When we first started designing, we wanted to create a contrast with the work and black. And that's where the idea of ​​the Yin-Yang was born. A symbol that is important to us and also very aesthetic.

This Pegboard gave us a hard time because of some parts, especially on the thin part of Yin and Yang. It was therefore an additional challenge, which of course was brilliantly completed by the Aire shock team.

✅We loved this project because it's still off the beaten track. It's this curiosity and desire to always innovate that leads us to offer you a Pegboard like this one.

Diamonds #6

This sixth Pegboard is directly inspired by the Venice Carnival. With a puzzle-like assembly system, these small diamonds can be assembled and disassembled to create the atmosphere you desire. We want to experiment with new geometric shapes because they are visually very interesting and also very aesthetically pleasing for the home.

With its diamonds of different colors it is possible to vary very simply and change in the blink of an eye.

As with all our other Pegboards, you can add accessories to store and decorate as you wish. Because on this model the grid is a classic grid (with a 3cm pitch), all accessories are compatible.

The Bear #7

And finally, the last one on the list (for now 😉) is the bear Pegboard. Inspired by the animal world, we wanted to test shapes aimed at the world of children. So we chose the animal theme. It's simply perfect for evoking dreamlike worlds. This Pegboard is ideal for a child's bedroom, a playroom, or even in the bathroom.

Its cute shape and neutral color allow you to add a touch of originality to your interior.

All accessories are compatible with this Pegboard, so you can have endless fun decorating and storing your home just like any other Pegboard.
