Making a powerful Bluetooth speaker ? Is it impossible or complicated? Not necessarily, if we believe the multitude of tutorials that can be found on the internet on this subject... Well, if you're a DIY enthusiast like: "I put my iPhone on a base made of two toilet paper rolls as a case", it might take a little longer to get the hang of it...

Make a Bluetooth speaker for your home with Aire
Have you heard of the open source projects SqueezeAmp and SqueezeLite that are setting the internet ablaze? Check them out on GitHub, the star platform for open projects! Aire and I are all about the open source movement. Our first contribution is a small Bluetooth speaker for the home. This speaker is currently on our website.
You can read our blog post about the mini Bluetooth speaker and the functions of Squeezelite ESP32
If you would like to order only the electronic card: in this case, do not hesitate to send us an email! We can provide you with the necessary materials to build your speaker in your space.
Currently, we offer a speaker that is powered solely by mains electricity. This choice allows us to avoid the use of a battery . The absence of a battery reduces the cost of your speaker as well as the use of critical materials.
Our electronic card is currently composed of:
- MCU: ESP32 WROVER
- Amplifier: TAS5711
- Number of channels: 2.1 - Stereo + SUB
- DSP: 8 bands
- Amplifier power: 2X20 W + SUB

Take charge of creating your speaker
You can design your own speaker using 3D printing or wood. Again, feel free to send us a message to discuss with us. We will be happy to share with you and help you with your project. We can provide you with all the parts of our speaker individually upon request . In a second step, we will launch a Git to document this project and all possible variations.

There's even a Wikihow on the subject (there's definitely a Wikihow for just about everything in this world...). That said, DIY enthusiasts are moving at lightning speed, from yogurt pots to much more complex speakers... So, where should we go from here?
Tout le Haut-Parleur, the DIY speaker specialists
At the audio specialists at Tout le Haut Parleur , you'll find kits and accessories to choose from depending on the sound system you want to create. From sound systems to small portable speakers to living room speakers... Thanks to the technical specifications and information provided by the site, you'll be able to get started. Note that this type of passion still comes at a cost, and you won't necessarily be able to customize your speakers at will, unless you're knowledgeable about cabinetmaking and object customization .

Bluetooth speaker tutorials on Instructables
You can also visit sites like Instructables which offer tutorials! This site specializes in publishing tutorials and will teach you how to build your speakers from A to Z , starting by explaining how the device works and the benefits of choosing this or that component. In any case, before building the sound system of your dreams , you will have to look a little into the theory and technique , but who knows? Vocations could be born in you !
Craft'n'Sound: The DIY speaker
If you want a product with a little less technical skill to master, but still want the pleasure of having assembled it yourself, go to Craft'n'Sound , French makers based in the 19th arrondissement in Paris, who have successfully completed their crowdfunding campaign thanks to their product: DIY Bluetooth speakers!
Kataposte, the handmade speaker at home
Robust and autonomous, our Parisian friends offer Kataposte 165 , which comes as a kit and will allow you to assemble it yourself with ease. The strong point of this speaker: it is Open Source and Open Hardware! You can buy the parts separately on their website: the core, the shell, or the entire kit, depending on the tools you have. The company also favors local production: everything is made in France ! The Kataposte 165 also makes repairs easier since it can be disassembled and replaced with standard parts.
