A little definition to start: the marble run is a game where the goal is to build a vertical track for your ball. You will place a ball at the top of the track to make it reach its endpoint. Simple. Basic.

The linear rail of the marble run

The stainless steel ball moves using linear rails. At Aire we use the3D printing to create durable and unique objects. Each of our kits contains several sizes of linear rails. Your ball can roll on the rail: simply, it’s a guide. But you can also use your rail as a surface to bounce your ball on. You can also create a vertical guide by placing two rails against each other. You see, creativity kicks in and you already want to take the Aire Ball in your hands!

The finish line

Now that you have the basics of the marble run, you can imagine that you need to celebrate a victory to give meaning to this game. So to validate your run, your marble must cross a finish line. If you choose to send your marble through a whirlwind, it means you like to observe. Your marble will spin for a few moments then end up falling into the central hole of the piece. The cascade

I saved the best for last! Watch out! The cascade is an extreme accessory. I admit it takes a bit of time to set up the cascade. But when you discover how it works, you'll immediately get hooked. The cascade is a sequence of water wheels. Your marble will wander according to the forces acting on its path. All the water wheels touch each other in the cascade. So as soon as a marble passes, it triggers many mechanisms. It makes a bit of noise, so avoid this accessory in the middle of the night.
