Today, I’m introducing a new mini version of the Pegboard. Yes, we decided to create a new Pegboard that can fit on any wall. It’s like a magician: it creates storage and decoration space even when you don’t have any! It’s magical!

A Mini Version of the Pegboard

Beyond being magical, it’s practical! Because it doesn’t need much space, it can go anywhere! Even if you have a small wall surface, I’m sure we can find a little spot for it. Colorful, fun, and above all, super cute, let’s tell you a bit more about this Valchromat Pegboard.

An All-Terrain Pegboard

Practical as a catch-all or bedside table

It can find its place in every room of the house, whether in the entryway where it can serve as a catch-all for keys, papers, or your transit pass. You can even place your essentials there; in winter, for example, you can hang your scarf or gloves. You can empty your pockets when you come home because when you change jackets, it’s easy to forget things the next morning—and that’s a disaster! But you can also put things there you don’t want to forget in the morning when leaving for work, like a little reminder.

It can also have its place in your bedroom, serving as a bedside table. It’s modern, aesthetic, and there’s no risk of spilling its contents or tripping over it. You can also find it in the bathroom to hold your daily care products, creams, serums, or your favorite jewelry. These little pegboards were born from wood scraps that were left alone for long hours in the workshop. They made us feel too sorry, so we transformed them 😂

In reality, it’s true that we had a lot of scraps, and now you know Aire is a committed company that hates waste and loves to transform, so we put our heads together to find a way to give value to these wood scraps! And that’s when this idea came to us: to make a mini Pegboard that’s fun, colorful, practical, and above all, super cute.

Valchromat

Yes, I told you this Pegboard is made of Valchromat, but what exactly is it?

Valchromat is a composite wood panel made from recycled wood fibers and synthetic resins. It is designed for use in various applications, notably in design such as furniture, wall cladding panels, decorative panels, and graphic arts panels.

Besides having a very nice visual appearance, this material has many advantages:

Durability: Valchromat is resistant to scratches, moisture, and impacts, making it ideal for applications requiring long-lasting performance.
Natural appearance: Valchromat has a look similar to solid wood, making it popular for decorative applications.
Infinite possibilities with vibrant colors: Valchromat is available in a variety of bright and intense colors, making it a popular choice in decoration.
Eco-friendly: Valchromat is made from recycled wood fibers, making it ecological and sustainable.

How is Valchromat made?

The wood is first debarked then ground. The pieces are then washed to remove impurities and ground very finely. Organic dye is then injected. Next, glue is applied to obtain a homogeneous mixture. The fibers are soaked and dyed. The next step is to spread the material on a giant belt to form a mat. You finally have a piece of wood! The wood is then pressed at 140 degrees Celsius. Watch your hands, it’s very hot here. The panels coming out of the press are finally cooled. The panels are then cut and stacked before being calibrated. And there you have it, our Valchromat!
